    Liquidtight wear layer on wood

Cycle and pedestrian bridges or pedestrian areas of bridges are still regularly made of tropical hardwood.

Unfortunately, in rainy weather, snowfall, frost or due to algae and moss growth, the wooden girders become slippery and the safety of bridge users is endangered. To prevent this, it is advisable to provide the bridge deck boards with a rideable anti-slip wear layer.

Liquid-applied elastomeric membranes are used to protect surfaces against chemical and mechanical influences and are the solution to create rideable anti-slip wear layers. POLYAC® resins are based on methyl methacrylate (MMA or PUMA) and are a highly reactive, liquid, easy-to-apply and fast-curing waterproofing system.

It forms an elastic membrane with very high durability. Also applicable at low temperatures.
