Waterproof wear layer on steel
Steel bridges and walkways require a specific anti-corrosion protection over which a wearing surface is applied. After the correct pre-treatment of the steel by blasting to give it the desired degree of roughness and cleanliness, an anti-corrosion primer is applied.
The surface is then coated with a liquid-tight wear layer into which selected granules are broadcast. Depending on the application and durability requirements, a top coat may be applied.
