Swellable plug
The SPETEC® PLUG represents a double guarantee for sealing openings in concrete structures as a result of providing spacers or centre pins for formwork.
This water stopper or plug consists of a semi-rigid plastic with a tip made of swellable polymers.
The ribbed structure of the plug provides an initial barrier against water penetration, while the swelling of the tip in contact with water will provide a secondary barrier. The swelling capacity of the tip against rainwater exceeds 800 %.
Inserting the plug into the opening requires no special tools and can be done easily with a hammer.
